The Vietnamese Luffa gourd resembles a cucumber and its young fruit can be eaten. When larger it can be made into a bath or dish scrubbing natural sponge.
aka loofah, dish rag sponge, sponge gourd, vegetable gourd. Native to South Asia in Vietnamese it is called mướp hương.
