If you have never tried Broccoli Raab, you are in for a gourmet treat! Also known as Italian broccoli, Raab has some differences from regular broccoli. Instead of growing large florets, it has delicate, tender shoots that are often compared to asparagus, but with a spicy but wonderful broccoli-like flavor. The tender stems, buds, and flowers can be enjoyed fresh in salads, stir-fried, or steamed. Budding shoots should be harvested just before the flowers open for best flavor.
